Investogenie is a stock recommendation and scoring platform, enabling average investors to confidently invest in stocks and build wealth. The vision is to empower individuals without financial expertise to navigate stock markets successfully.
The challenge
The primary challenge was to develop a simple and comprehensible methodology for evaluating diverse investment opportunities in the stock market. The aim was to provide a user-friendly way for investors to compare and contrast different stocks effectively.
How we approached this project
Addressing the challenge of creating a user-friendly methodology for stock evaluation, we devised an aggregate weighted scoring system. Drawing inspiration from renowned investors like Warren Buffett and Phil Fisher, we focused on 43 indicators for each stock. This methodology aimed to demystify the complexities of stock evaluation, making it accessible to individuals without financial expertise.
Our approach extended beyond the initial scoring system. We implemented algorithms to dynamically update the relative weightings of indicators over time. This dynamic feature ensured that the stock scores evolved and improved continually, adapting to market changes and enhancing the platform’s reliability.
Complementing the scoring system, we developed a robust web application. This platform empowered users to track stocks, assess their suitability for individual needs, and comprehend holistic evaluation metrics. The seamless integration of the scoring system into the user interface enhanced the overall user experience, providing a comprehensive tool for stock market navigation.
The result of our work
The developed application successfully reached production and underwent testing with a group of approximately 20 stock market investment students. Investogenie not only provided market and competitive research for the product but also focused on enhancing the entire user experience through prototypes and wireframes, translating them into a refined UI.

Our work on Investogenie received recognition and acceptance into one of Pakistan’s prestigious accelerators. Post-accelerator graduation, the founder received an invitation to join a local private equity firm as their Vice President of Investments, showcasing the impact and value of the Investogenie platform.
