3i Capital was running alternative-investment operations on Airtable and manual workflows. To scale as a community of accredited investors syndicating deals together, they needed a purpose-built platform — onboarding, deal flow, interest aggregation, agreement execution, and disbursement, all automated and wrapped in a secure member-only experience.

3i Capital was running alternative-investment operations on Airtable and manual workflows. To scale as a community of accredited investors syndicating deals together, they needed a purpose-built platform — onboarding, deal flow, interest aggregation, agreement execution, and disbursement, all automated and wrapped in a secure member-only experience.

How we approach this project

We started with business-process analysis and collaborative UX workshops, then built a secure web platform for approved, paying members. The platform automates the full operational lifecycle, integrates Zoom for due-diligence calls, posts to Slack for real-time deal notifications, and runs on a Forest Admin panel that gives the 3i team full monitoring and administration without touching the database. Regional directors manage community events globally through the same system.

The challenge

3i Capital — an initiative of Create Venture Studio, seeded by angel investors — set out to be a Robinhood-style experience for alternative investments, but with a community layer where accredited investors syndicate deals together. The operations were running on Airtable, email threads, and manual tracking. To grow, that had to change.

What we built

  • Member-only platform. Secure access for approved, paid members. Onboarding, KYC, and profile management all automated.
  • Deal workflow. From deal sharing and interest aggregation through syndication, agreement execution, and disbursement — every step moved off manual process and into the platform.
  • Multimedia deal rooms. PDF uploads, multimedia presentations, and Zoom integration for due-diligence calls.
  • Forest Admin. A unified back-office panel so the 3i team can monitor and administer every aspect of the platform without developer involvement.
  • Community layer. Slack notifications, email touch-points, member perks, and regional director-led networking events surfaced directly in-product.

The outcome

500+ high-net-worth investors and $200M in transactions flowed through the platform. The team got out of spreadsheets and into a business that scales.
